2 Tips To Wear Flowy and Shapless Clothing

I love form-fitted clothes as much as the girl next to me, but unfortunately for me, tighter clothing isn't flattering on my body-type. So for girls out there like me who prefer flow-yer options, yet don't want to look like you are wearing a potato sack, I have 2 tricks and tips to help you style your clothes and avoid looking like a puddle of clothing.

1.) My first tip is to highlight the smallest part of your abdomen. Whether you realize it or not, everyone has a defined waistline. For some people that is right below their bust and for others like myself it is in the middle of their abdomen and even for others their smallest part is right before their hip. To help highlight one of these three areas I recommend using a belt to cinch a shirt or dress in. (The pictures below exhibit where the belt should be placed)

(although I would recommend using a smaller belt for a high waistline)

2.) My second tip is to pair a more masculine, shapeless pair of pants or bermuda shorts with a very feminine, tailored, overly girly blouse. This works well to counteract the shapelessness of of the pants or shorts by making the upper part of your outfit show off your curves (I said tailored, not tight, two completely different things).

Yellow Eyelet Cami

Pair these linen, loose bermudas with the not quite flowy, not completely fitted yellow tank for a weekend look.

Cherry Ruffle Top

You can even wear this more flowy option because the cinch underneath the bust area will give some shape the the torso and the cherry print and ruffles around the v-neck elude to a more feminine touch paired with a dark wash bermuda would be great for school or to lunch on a weekend.

I hoped this helped some of you ladies out there like myself

Do have any tips and tricks for styling up loose-fitting clothes?

All Cosmetics Wholesale Mini Haul

Hey Everyone! Happy Saturday! Yesterday I just received the package I have been waiting all week for and I'm so excited to share it with you all!

But first, I would like to tell a little about the company/website that I purchased these cosmetics from. I purchased from which is a website that sells authentic and fresh cosmetics from various brands at very low reduced prices. They sell many prestige brands such as MAC, Lancome, Clinique, and NARS, but they also sell lower end drugstore brands like Maybelline, L'Oreal and Revlon. In addition, they also sell specialty brands like Sigma Makeup, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Victoria's Secret, and Z-Palette. Furthermore they sell many discontinued, limited edition and rare cosmetics like MAC cosmetics from past collections.

I know many beauty bloggers and youtube gurus fear wholesale sites like this because way too often the cosmetics sold are fake or old and expired. However, I assure you all that these cosmetics are 100% AUTHENTIC and like many of you, I was very hesitant from ordering from this place, but I researched and found that people who have used this site really raved about it. So one day a long while back I had a prepaid visa card that after buying several things, only had around $7 left on it, so I decided to try out the site and I had nothing to lose because I only bought one small thing to see if it was authentic and the gift card didn't have much money left on it after buying the cosmetic so if it was a scam, they wouldn't be able to pull much money off of the card. When it arrived I was very impressed that it was an authentic cosmetic that cost me so little compared to what it would have cost me to buy it in-store (less than half the amount of money!).

[Here's what I received yesterday]
Left to Right: Mini Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer, Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation, Sample 100% Pure Red Wine Resveratrol Mask, and Stila One Step Makeup Foundation
(NOTE: My Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation came unsealed and this was indicated on the product info page that it may come unsealed, but I thought it was very generous of the company to put the product in a re-sealable baggy to prevent spills during shipping)

So now about 6 months later I decided to log onto the website and was surprised to find some of the new brands they have added and all of the new cosmetics in stock and I just knew I had to get something. Well that something turned into 3 somethings, but with the deep discounts, I could afford it. So I purchased the Stila One Step Makeup Foundation in Fair 01 for just $20! When this originally came out in Sephora it was priced at $44.00 (it is now a discontinued item and has been since a month after its release because a new formulation has taken its place) so getting this at less than half the price it was in-store was great. As well I got a small sample sized Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer in Shade 1 because I have always wanted to try it, but it's got a steep price for a tinted moisturizer (in-store) and I have oily skin so I was never sure whether or not to try it, but this way I can without a huge commitment to a full-sized bottle. In addition, I purchased the Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation in Light 0 which is also a discontinued item and is no longer available in drugstores (although its coordinating powder foundation is still available in-store).

I was very surprised when I opened up my package to see that they also included a small sample of 100% Pure Red Wine Resveratrol Mask with my order. As well, all of the products where wrapped tightly together with lots of bubble wrap to ensure the products would not go sliding around in the package and get harmed during the shipping process which I greatly appreciate. None of my particular products had wear on them except the Stila One Step which most likely was because of it moving around in its box, but it was hardly any serious wear and tear on the product.

Right to Left: Mini Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer and Sample 100% Pure Red Wine Resveratrol Mask

Left to Right: Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation and Stila One Step Makeup Foundation

The Stats On The Site:
 - Beware that many products may or may not be boxed or sealed however, products that are unboxed or unsealed will state that it is on the product info page or indicated in the title with the symbol "u/b"
 - "DISCONTINUED" in the title of any product will indicate that it is no longer being made by the manufacturer and is only available in limited quantities
 - Many products may not be "Retail Perfect" which indicates that the product may have wear on it from being shelf pulled.
 - They sell high-end cosmetics, low-end cosmetics, and specialty brands
 - Most of their products are sold at very low, reduced prices compared to in-store prices
 - They sell 100% AUTHENTIC and FRESH cosmetics

(Note: I will be doing a review on each product separately at a later date and time)

Have you ever tried a wholesale site?

DIY: Spring and Summer Inspiration Board

Now that Spring/Summer 2011 is approaching and in many places already in full swing, we all need to revamp our wardrobe and makeup, and what better way to do that than to create an inspiration board!

Here's my completed inspiration board, now make one of your own!

What You Will Need:
  • One small to medium size cork board or magnetic dry-erase board (preferably easily hang-able)
  • Cut out pictures of fashion-forward spring looks (can be pictures of your own and also out of magazines, online, ect){I also created a color guide to some of my favorite spring/summer colors using nail polish swatches on a sheet of paper and cutting fun designs around the polish swatches}
  • Pictures and/or samples of spring shades of makeup (such as nude eyeshadow, tinted moisturizer and soft pink lipstick){I also put a few of these things along the top of my board}
  • Pictures and/or samples of summer/spring skincare (like moisturizer and sunblock)
  • Small spring/summer accessories (preferably easily hang-able)
  • Small tacts and/or magnets

Getting Started!

- First, you will want to mount your cork/magnetic board to a wall/door or just prop it up on a flat surface if you don't plan on hanging it.

- Then, start by hanging/attaching your inspirational clothing/accessory/makeup pictures with the magnets/tacks.

- After you have all of the pictures up, then hang/attach the samples you want to put up.

- After all of the more flat stuff is hung/attached, then hang the accessories off of additional magnets/tacks or off of some of the ones holding your pictures and samples.

- Snap a picture and post in the comments or leave your link to a blog post featuring this fun DIY Inspiration Board!

Here are some additional close-up pictures so you can see what was on my Inspiration Board!
(Note: I chose to use a dry erase/magnetized board)

In This Picture: mini Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion in upper left, Vistoria's Secret Beauty Rush body mist in Juiced Berry in upper right, cute card from a friend, OPI Silver Shatter tag, and pictures cut out from a magazine of a blouse, bracelets and a white/cream purse

Naked Palette Swatches

Swatches from left to right: Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal

All swatches from left to right: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep and Gunmetal

AOTD: Flower Earrings

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you had a good week! And to kick off the weekend, an Accessory Of The Day!

These earrings are my new go-to when I need to put a pair of earrings on to add to my outfit. I just can not put down these flower earrings for more than a day simply because of the gold metal accents around the petals (For some reason I'm very into gold now whereas before this spring I always preferred silver) and this creamy white color goes with nearly anything and everything in my closet. These are also even more versatile earrings because the flower shape adds a spring-inspired vibe to any outfit and with the additional colors, these are a staple in my ever growing earring collection.

 - These flower earrings came in a pack of 9 sets of earrings from Forever21 for around $6.00.
 - There were three pairs of these flower dangle earrings in (one pair in each color) the creamy white shown above, pale pink, and black
 - Each one of the colors have their own coordinating rhinestone earrings and ball earrings which is great for girlies with two or three ear piercings because it takes the guesswork out of trying to match up all of your earrings.

Do you have any go-to spring/summer earrings?

NOTD: O.P.I Rally Pretty Pink

NOTD: Nails Of The Day!
NOTE:(I know I said I would do a big haul post on all of the new O.P.I polishes I have suddenly acquired, but I think doing a review or notd or What are you wearing on your nails tonight? kind of thing one by one will be better because I have a feeling one big long post would be just too long)

Hey, how was everyone's Monday?

So actually I have been wearing O.P.I's Rally Pretty Pink on my nails since last thursday and ladies, this nail polish will probably go a whole week until is chips! I'm super impressed! Although I'm really not so sure as to whether or not it is the top coat (I used a no-name random top coat I picked up forever ago that I don't normally ever use) or the actual nail polish that is preventing the chips, but nonetheless my fingers are chip-free four days in! (which is almost unheard of for me)

O.P.I Rally Pretty Pink

This color is very unique in itself and trying to take pictures of this polish was no easy feat because from every angle the color appears a little bit different. Therefore, I highly encourage all of you to reference for accurate color swatches. However to me I feel like this polish is a much more purple-y version of Hard Candy's Hypnotic nail polish.[Personally I would describe this OPI color as a sort of holographic polish which appears purple, then gold in another light]

Left to right: OPI Rally Pretty Pink, Hard Candy Hypnotic

The Stats:
 - Wears very well/ Does not chip easily
 - Interesting and unique color
 - Smooth consistency going on the nail
 - This color came in the exclusive Serena Williams Grand Slam Duo with Red Shatter nail polish

So, How was your Monday?
Do you own this unique polish?

Cheap Finds Makeup Review: New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder

A little while back I decided to challenge myself to do something a little unusual and very hard for me: Spend only $10 on makeup at a drugstore. Why? you ask... because I'm sick of having to shell out a huge load of cash for the most basic of makeup products. So I took on the challenge and went straight to the first drugstore I could find.

And if it had not been for that wonderful day, I would have never of found this magical pan of bronzer!

New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny

For me, bronzer is almost an everyday must-have product because I am very, very, desperately pale and I despise spray tans and self-tan lotions that leave me orange and streaky. I'm also not much of a fan of super shimmery and glittery face bronzers (Too Faced Bronze Leopard for example) because I prefer to just add color and contour with bronzer and add to my cheeks a shimmery blush. Therefore, this bronzer is great for gals like me who prefer a matte, tan look without excessive orangey-ness or shimmer and glitter.

(refer to for accurate color portrayal)

However, one downside to this brand is that there is only one color available of this particular formula, yet I feel it will work perfectly on anyone with a porcelain to medium-olive skin-tone when applied correctly. For others with darker skin-tones there is a different bronzer the brand carries that comes with two shades in one compact and has two different compact shades to choose from.

As well, I recommend that this bronzer is used with a fluffy bronzer brush like the one pictured below that I use, or a contouring face brush instead of using the little puff that comes with the bronzer which deposits too much product and produces a very uneven application.

EcoTools Bamboo Bonzer Brush

Overall, This bronzer is a steal for just $2.99* (*depending on location/store) and is worth every single penny spent!

The Stats:
 - Not Orangey Colored
 - Only 1 Shade Available
 - Applicator is Not Useable
 - Not Glitter or Shimmery
 - Great Low Price!

So, Have YOU tried this bronzer yet?

Guess What's In Store? Urban Decay Naked Palette

Hey Everyone! This is going to be a quick little update about my weekend and about what I've got in store for all of you lovelies!

So, in case you haven't already read the title of this little post,
I've Got My Paws On...
 The Urban Decay Naked Palette!

So, just yesterday my sister and I decided to drop by Ulta to see if they had any of the O.P.I Black Shatter polishes in stock, and after only finding disappointment stocked on the O.P.I shelves, we each started to wander off looking around at fragrances, skincare and of course makeup when I by chance looked at one of the Urban Decay displays and found the Holy Grail Palette!

As soon as I saw it I snatched one up like a thief stealing precious gems from an underground vault! I was sooooo excited I literally almost screamed out of joy for just being able to just hold the palette in my hands. But then, I soon realized... I had no money what-so-ever to buy this magnificent $48 palette. However, much pleading, bargaining, and whining to my sister later, I left the store with this palette in hand.

So yes, my sister did buy this for me, but as an early birthday present for the next 12 years... (yea that was the deal I had to make with her). But I already know this palette is worth it and so much more!

Don't be looking for a review just yet, I know it's probably killing you!, but I would like to be able to experiment with it for a week or two so I can give you guys some good suggestions on color combos and give accurate descriptions of each shadow's consistency and overall quality of the palette. However, I will tell you, I'm already wearing a few shadows today, and so far they go on smoothly and stay put with the help of the mini eyeshadow primer potion included with the palette.

Oh and here's another bonus on another topic: This weekend my sister and I (we tend to share almost everything) somehow gained a WHOPPING 9 more O.P.I Nail Polishes so I'll be posting a review on these in another week or two as well.

So, How was your weekend?

1 Tip For A Radiant Complexion

So we all have those days when our complexions just do not look as bright as usual, a little dull and monotone. So here's a tip that may help cure a dull complexion any day!

Take a blush brush like the one below, or whichever blush brush you prefer

EcoTools Blush Brush

And Swipe, Swirl, Bounce, or Buff a slightly shimmery peachy blush like the one below onto your cheeks

Cover Girl Classic Color Blush in 540 Rose Silk

Then take the remaining blush on your brush (just a very small amount of the blush should be left on the brush after doing both cheeks)

EcoTools Blush Brush (pictured with enough Rose Silk blush to to both cheeks)

And lightly tap your blush brush all over your face including your forehead and wherever is the most dull looking and you have an instantly brighter, more radiant looking complexion due to the shimmer bouncing light off of your face and the light veil of color will keep you looking youthful instead of sallow.

What Are YOUR Nails Wearing Tonight?

So tonight I felt like shaking up my usual neutral-pale-pink nail polish for something a little more vibrant, yet still tame.

There I was examining my nail polish shelves which, by the way, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in seeing a little picture tour of my nail polish set up, so comment below if you would!

Back to the story: So there I was examining my nail polish shelves as if I were accusing each and every nail polish of nail murder when I laid eyes on a recently hauled polish that I have been literally DYING! to wear again!

You guessed it: I'm In-Dia Mood for Love

(refer to for accurate color swatch)

I guess, I'm In-Dia Mood To Wear This Polish! This mid-tone pink stole my heart away the first time I laid eyes on it <3 and it has continued to be my current obsession, although...... Ogre The Top Blue is insanely bright and I also <3 that one, but this one is winning me over at this minute.

So, What are YOUR nails wearing tonight?
